This Department equips catechetical leaders in parishes and Catholic schools with formation and resources to proclaim the Gospel message, lead others to an encounter with Jesus Christ, and teach them to follow all He has commanded us.
This Department oversees catechetical programs in parishes and Catholic schools; preparation for the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation; and the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). -
Confirmation
The normative age to receive Confirmation in the Diocese of Marquette is during the 11th grade. It is conferred by the bishop at a special Mass in each vicariate every year.
